MKESA depends on parent and community volunteers. Your time, skills, and ideas help us support our students, teachers, and school in real, practical ways. Whether you have an hour once in a while or a little time each week, there is a place for you.
Why volunteer
Volunteers help us:
- Strengthen programs that support students and teachers
- Build connections among families, in both English and Spanish
- Offer events and activities that the school cannot run on its own
- Make sure every voice in our community has a chance to be heard
You do not need any special experience to get involved, just an interest in helping our school.
Ways to help
There are many ways to volunteer, both in person and behind the scenes. For example:
- Helping at events (set up, cleanup, greeting families)
- Translating or interpreting between English and Spanish
- Supporting communications (flyers, email, social media, website)
- Assisting with fundraising efforts and sponsorship outreach
- Serving on a committee or working group
- Sharing a specific skill, such as design, photography, or technology
You can choose one time projects, ongoing roles, or something in between.
What to expect
We know families are busy. We are committed to:
- Clear expectations about the time and tasks involved
- Flexible opportunities that work around your schedule
- Respect for your boundaries and availability
- A welcoming environment for all caregivers and community members
Volunteering should feel meaningful, not overwhelming.
